As part of Lehigh University's Human Computer Interaction & Social Computing Lab, I worked with a team of researchers to build a prototype for an experiential-learning platform to help older adults recognize and resist online disinformation.

We adapted the Cornell Social Media Lab's Social Media Test Drive platform and the Clemson Media Forensics Hub's Spot the Troll quiz curriculum into a structured four-stage learning arc: Learn, Practice, Play, Reflect. This expanded the quiz format into a fuller educational experience with contextualized explanations.

I developed the Practice section, creating realistic, coded, responsive Twitter-style profiles and guided walkthroughs that train learners to recognize patterns of deceptive behavior and build resistance to online manipulation.

Beyond the trolling simulation, I built an early version of the full platform with modular lessons, quizzes, multimedia content, AI chatbot, unlockable achievements, and user progress tracking.

The prototype demonstrated feasibility and helped secure an NSF Convergence Accelerator grant for a larger platform that evolved into DART Academy.
